John Mayer berjaya di dua kategori sekaligus di ajang 51st Grammy awards 2009. John Mayer berhasil mengalahkan lima pesaingnya di Penyanyi Pop Pria Terbaik lewat singlenya yang dijadikan soundtrack film 'The Bucket List', 'Say'.

Sementara itu Blink 182, yang dibentuk pada 1992 dan bubar pada 2005, berencana untuk berkumpul lagi dalam pergelaran Grammy Awards 2009, yang akan diadakan pada 8 Februari yang akan datang di Los Angeles.
